PURPOSE:To provide a plastic-clad optical fiber of sufficiently high adhesion between its core and its clad. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition comprising a reactive compound containing at least one alkoxy group or halogen-bonded silicon atom and at least two functional groups capable of forming a chemical bond with an ultraviolet-curing resin in the molecule; and a plastic-clad optical fiber having a clad comprising a cured product of the resin composition.
