The catamaran or trimaran hulls are supplied with pumps and piping and with internal bulkheads to contain ballasting water. Each hull has a forward and rear pump with the suction pipe below the hull and the delivery pipe connecting to the opposite hull. Each hull is fitted with a drain valve and each pump line with a non return valve. The pumps are controlled centrally so that the weather hull is filled with water as required.
