The heat generator comprises a combustion chamber (1) and a heat exchanger (4) which are superposed one on the other, at least one burner (2) being mounted in the combustion chamber which has a bottom air intake and is connected, at its upper part, to a chimney (9) by means of flues (smoke pipes) (7) arranged in the exchanger between the exchanger elements (5) which convey the liquid to be heated (6), such as water.
