MICROCAPSULE MANUFACTURED FROM ISOCYANATE CONTAINING POLYETHYLENE OXIDE

PURPOSE: To prepare microcapsules in an energy-saving manner by using a polyisocyanate which consists exclusively or partially of reaction products of isocyanates having a functionality of 2, 3 or more with polyethylene oxide alcohols. CONSTITUTION: A polyisocyanate to be used consists exclusively or partially of reaction products of isocyanates having a functionality of 2, 3 or more with polyethylene oxide alcohols. A substance to be enclosed in capsules and the polyisocyanate are dissolved in a hydrophobic solvent. The hydrophobic mixture is emulsified in water continuously or intermittently. Then a polyamine which can be reacted with the isocyanate is added to prepare microcapsules.
