<p>PURPOSE:To perfectly carry out regeneration and reduce the fuel consumption by stopping the regeneration of a filter when the elapsed time from the start of regeneration of the filter to the off of an engine key is shorter than a specified time and continuing the regeneration of the filter when it is longer than the specified time. CONSTITUTION:In the inside of the exhaust pipe 1 of an engine body, a filter 2 for collecting the particulates in the exhaust gas is installed. Downstream of the filter 2, an electric heater 4 is arranged, so that the collected particulates are burned for reproducing the filter 2. The electric heater 4 is supplied with power by a battery 5, and it is electrified and controlled by a control unit 6 via a heater relay 7. In this case, the control unit 6 stops the regeneration of the filter 2, when the elapsed time from the start of regeneration of the filter 2 to the off of an engine key 26 is shorter than a specified time. On the other hand, when the elapsed time is longer than the specified time, the regeneration of the filter 2 is continued.</p> |
