<p>PURPOSE:To inhibit propagation of filamentous bacteria of activated sludge and to prevent bulking thereof. CONSTITUTION:In the case of introducing waste water and activated sludge into an aeration tank and biologically treating organic substance in waste water, 20-50% seawater is mixed with waste water. Thereby since activity of microorganisms effective for activated sludge treatment excepting filamentous bacteria is not deteriorated, water quality of treated water of a thickener is specified and stable operation can be maintained. Further, water quality of a drainage area is not polluted because harmful substance is not mixed with drainage.</p> |
