The present invention relates to a trap for exterminating insects, of the type consisting of a bag (1) which is slightly moistened on the outside and which emits vapours and other volatile substances for attracting insects, the said insects being exterminated when they alight on the bag, the surfaces of which are also impregnated with toxic insecticide. The said trap is characterised in that its bag comprises at least one compartment (3, 4, 5) containing a aqueous solution consisting either of water or of an attractive, nutrient or pheromone substance, or of an insecticide substance, or of at least two of the aforementioned constituents. The invention applies in particular to the extermination of adult dipterons, and especially to the extermination of the olive fruit fly, of the Mediterranean fruit fly, of the cherry fruit fly and of the house fly. <IMAGE>
