PURPOSE:To change printing resolution optionally in an electric photoprinter for forming a printed image to effect printing by scanning on a photosensitive drum while laser beam is switched on-off according to video data. CONSTITUTION:When resolution is specified by a host computer 19, the video output period of a video data output section 13 is changed by a printer control section 12. The rotation speed of the photosensitive drum 17 to a printing mechanism control section 16 is changed by the printer control section 12. Further the rotation speed of a polygon mirror 15 of a polygon mirror driving section 14 is also changed by the printer control section 12. The resolution of optical value is obtained by carrying out the above operation. |
