<p>PURPOSE: To provide an optical scanning device in which many line scanning patterns with an extremely high density for scanning bar code label are generated. CONSTITUTION: This scanner 26 includes a scanning module 28 mounted in a compact housing 20. The scanning module 28 is set close to a hole 24 provided at the housing 20, and first many line scanning patterns are projected along a first scanning axis 38. The scanning device is provided with a mirror member 30 set on the first scanning axis 38, and arranged inclined for deflecting the scanning patterns along a second scanning axis 41 through the hole 24, and scanning a bar code label arranged faced to the hole 24. This mirror member is rotated by a driving shaft 32 of a motor 34. This driving shaft 32 is connected to the mirror member 30 by shifting the axial direction against the mirror member. Thus, the mirror member 30 is rotated so that a first scanning pattern can be rotated around the second scanning axis 41, and a second scanning pattern 46 with higher density than that of the first scanning pattern can be formed.</p> |
