The subject of the invention is a steer angle checking apparatus with electronic plates and automatic tracking adjustment. Apparatus for measuring the steer angle, of the type using pivoting plates (1, 2), mounted on pivoting-plate mobile supports (3, 4), the said pivoting plates (1, 2) are associated with electronic measurement means, characterised in that the automatic tracking adjustment means are associated with mobile supports (3, 4) for pivoting plates (1, 2), the said supports being motorised.
