PURPOSE:To easily switch the normal processing to the block editing processing even on the way of the normal editing processing by executing the editing processing according with a flow of normal character strings or the block editing processing according with blocks. CONSTITUTION:Document data is expanded in a document area 11a of a RAM 11 by the operation control of a CPU 10, and a part of document data is displayed on a liquid crystal display part 15 in accordance with this document data, and in this state, the editing processing of character strings in the range designated by two points of the displayed document is performed. When a selection/execution key is depressed without designating the block editing, the editing processing in the normal editing mode according with a flow of character strings is executed because this editing processing is in the normal editing mode. When block editing is designated, the editing processing in the block editing mode according with the rectangular range prescribed based on two prescribed points is executed at the time of depression of the selection/execution key, and the normal editing processing is automatically restored again after this execution. |
