<p>A mobile batch plant for concrete comprising unitary frame means supporting an agitator mixing bowl mounted rotatably about an upwardly inclined axis in normal carrying and/or mixing disposition with its open mouth at its elevated or receiving attitude; conveyor means mounted on the frame means to extend between a lower end spaced from the mixing bowl and an upper end adapted to discharge conveyed materials into the open mouth of the bowl when in elevated attitude; aggregate hopper means on the frame means disposed above and adapted to discharge on to said conveyor means, said conveyor means being so made and arranged that the distance between the aggregate hopper means and the mixing bowl is minimised; cement hopper means adapted to discharge on to said conveyor means or directly to the bowl; and weight-control and read-out means for controlling the proportions of aggregate, cement or other materials reaching the mixing bowl; the unitary frame means being adapted to be rendered mobile in any suitable manner such as removable mounting on a transporting truck, or by incorporation in a truck tray assembly, or by being designed to be self-propelled or by dragging or lifting by a suitable vehicle.</p> |
