<p>In treatment of effluent water and/or raw waste water in a waste water cleaning plant, where the loaded water is fed into a reactor, opt. from a container, and is reacted with microorganisms, either suspended and/or immobilised on a carrier, electrically and/or mechanically stimulated oscillations of frequency 12-40 kHz are produced in the water, in the container and/or in the reactor, with an output of 3-50 W/l, suitable for prodn. of cavitation. The oscillations have a frequency of 18-25 kHz, and are permanent or periodic. Two different, defined frequencies may be obtd., sp. 12-25 kHz (which are partic. periodic) and 20-40 kHz (which are partic. permanent). In obtaining the oscillations, the static pressure on the water is (periodically) below the vapour pressure. ADVANTAGE - The number of surviving microorganisms is reduced, duration of treatment is shorter, the metabolic activity of the biomass is raised, the amt. of sludge is lessened, and smaller appts. can be used.</p> |
