Process for coating a solid which has a removable protective film on its surface, with a thin liq. coating agent, includes lifting the protective film slightly and filling the thin liq. into the gap. The protective film is pulled away in such a manner that the gap is moved over the surface. The liq. coating agent has a viscosity of less than 500 mPas. The surface is pref. a board or plastic band.
