The multi-purpose station with horizontal rotating perforated drums forms a part of an installation for surface treatment of batches of pourable mass-produced components. The drum (11) whose charge is, e.g. currently dried in the drying section (2) of the station, and will be subsequently unloaded in the unloading section (3) of the same station, is the same drum (11) which was previously loaded with a charge (15) and was then dipped with this charge into various solutions of individual treatment stations according to a given time-and-path plan. USE/ADVANTAGE - For surface treatment of mass-produced pourable components which require several treatment stages. In contrast to known installations, it allows the entire treatment to be carried out without intermediate reloading (which is a manual operation) of the components.
