<p>Process for the manufacture of a composite thread (33) formed from a plurality of filaments associated with an organic thermoplastic substance. The process consists in mechanically drawing a thread into a device (12) mounted on the crosshead on the end of an extruder, and in injecting the substance in the direction of the thread concentrically to the latter under a constant maximum radial pressure of less than 50 bars.
