PURPOSE:To enhance color forming properties and preservability, in a recording material using an electron donating leuco dye and an electron acceptive compd., by using a cyclohexane-1,3-dione derivative as the electron acceptive compd. CONSTITUTION:In a recording material using an electron donating leuco dye and an electron acceptive compd. such as pressure-sensitive paper, thermal paper, photosensitive pressure-sensitive paper or thermal duplicating paper, a cyclohexane-1,3-dione derivative expressed by general formula (wherein R1-R6 may be the same and different and are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a substituted carbonyl group, a cyano group or a halogen atom) is used as the electron acceptive compd. As the cyclohexane-1,3- dione derivative, for example, cyclohexane-1,3-dione or 4,4- dimethylcyclohexane-1,3-dione is used. |
