摘要 PURPOSE: To collect a large amount of luminescent radiation from a very small amount of sample in a capillary by providing a parabolic reflector which is symmetrical with respect to axial line as a center and collecting luminescent radiation from a capillary column. CONSTITUTION: A capillary 10 of an electrophoresis device passes through holes 50 and 51 on the side part of a reflector body 41, and the detection part of capillary separation channel is at a focus 44 of a reflector 40. The reflector body 41 is provided with an inlet hole 54 in which a laser beam 56 emitting from a laser 26 may advance at a right angle to the capillary 10 and an outlet hole 62 for lights scattering in the capillary 10. A laser beam dump 64 is provided so as to capture the light passing through the hole 62. A thin strip 66 is attached as to cover the outlet of the reflector 40 in order to block the scattering surface. The luminescent beam from the detection part is made parallel, and it passes through an emission filter 68 (blocks remaining scattering light), and then it advances to a photoelectric multiplier 70. Thus the reflector 40 can collect much more luminescent radiation from the sample.
