<p>An improved magnetic recording medium comprising a nonmagnetic support having opposed first and second major surfaces, a magnetic coating on said first major surface, and a backside coating on said second major surface. The backside coating comprises a block copolymer having the general formula: (A-B)n-Y, wherein: Y is a multifunctional coupling moiety; n is 2 to 15; A is a polymeric segment having a Tg of greater than about 70 °C; B is a polymeric segment having a Tg of less than about 25 °C, wherein B is incompatible with A.</p> |
