<p>A carbapenem derivative represented by general formula (I) or a salt thereof, wherein (a) represents (un)substituted pyridinium, (b), (c), (d) or (e); R?1 and R2¿ may be the same or different from each other and each represents lower alkyl; n represents an integer of 3 to 7; R represents hydrogen, anionic charge or ester residue; and the wavy line represents either cis or trans form. This compound has an excellent antibacterial activity against a wide variety of bacteria falling under the category of gram-positive and negative bacteria, thus being useful as an antibacterial.</p> |
