A coin or token operated 'jukebox' has a compact housing with magazines for discs, a display of titles (2), speakers (5,6), keyboard (3), display strip (4), coin entry point (7) and wheels. Internally the unit has a microprocessor based controller that controls the handling system used to extract and replace discs. When coins or tokens are entered and checked a number of selections may be made. The controller allows the selection list to be prioritised for playback.
