The present invention provides a formulated composition for use as a food or food supplement. The composition comprises a proteinaceous component selected from at least one protein, peptide, polypeptide, or a mixture thereof. The composition also includes an essential nutrient component which is at least one nutrient substance selected from a vitamin, mineral, trace element or mixture thereof. The proteinaceous component is present in an amount of from about 1x10<-8> g to about 10 g per recommended daily allowance of at least one nutrient substance in the essential nutrient component. |
