<p>PURPOSE:To feed originals while forcefully spreading the folded back portions of the originals by providing a conical rotating body which revolves while making contact with the portions near both side parts of the originals. CONSTITUTION:In the automatic original feeder, a sensor 15 by optical means or the like which detects from the leading up to trailing ends of the original 4 under conveying is provided on the rear stage side of feed rollers 3, in opposition to the original 4 surface. A brush roller 16 being a rotating body rotatable while making contact with the portions near both side parts of the original 4 is provided between the sensor 15 and feed-in rollers 6 orthogonally in the moving direction of the original 4. The roller 16 is formed to the conical form becoming smaller in diameter toward the outer side of the original 4 and since the generator of this cone form makes contact with the original 4, the axis 17 thereof is inclined to the horizontal plane. By the action of this roller 16, the original 4 is fed while being forcefully spread even if there is a folded back portion 20 in the original 4.</p> |
