PURPOSE:To recover the incineration heat or the like effectively into a sand without stagnation of cinders on the top of the sand layer by a method wherein the portion of the sand in an incinerator is kept, on one hand, in a fluidized state and, on the other hand, allowed to fall down sequentially by the gravity to form a moving layer. CONSTITUTION:Fluidizing air is fed from air chambers 22a, 22b, 22c and flowed upward through a perforated plate 21 to fluidize the sand in the regions A, B, C. Dampers 32, 33 control the amount, of air feed so that a larger amount of air is fed into the lateral regions A and C then into the central region B, and that violent fluidization occurs in the regions A and C while a weak or almost no fluidization occurs in the region B. By this adjustment or control of the amount of air feed, the sand in the regions A and C is fluidized violently, and the sand moving upward is caused to cascade to the upper part of the central region B by a deflector 24; on the other hand, the sand in the region B flows into the regions A and C through the clearances between the perforated plate 21 and partition walls 23a, 23b. |
