PURPOSE:To obtain the video conference module able to be a component of the video conference system through the connection of the module to a display device by designing the module in which a communication control section, a picture codec, a camera are accommodated in a single case to attain small size and ease of carrying. CONSTITUTION:The video conference system is made up as basic building blocks of a video conference terminal equipment 1, a display device 7, an operation key board 2, and a microphone 3 and the video conference terminal equipment 1 is connected as required to a document image pickup stand 4, an electronic blackboard 5, and a video tape recorder 6. The video conference terminal equipment 1 is incorporated with a camera and has a size directly mounted on a ceiling plate of a rack 8 in which the display device 7 is contained or onto the display device. The image picked up by the built-in camera from above the ceiling plate of the rack 8 or from on the display device 7 is coded and sent to a communication opposite party via a connected digital communication network. Moreover, the video image of the opposite party received via the digital communication network is decoded and outputted to the display device 7. |
