PURPOSE:To easily make image areas before and after enlargement correspond to each other by dividing a screen into plural areas and displaying an enlarged figure of an area specified centering on an area that the specified area belongs to. CONSTITUTION:The whole original image is divided into the four areas A-D in advance. When a user specifies an optional rectangular area, e.g. rectangular area 43 in the image on the screen 41 of a display part, the display positions of the partially enlarged figure and the whole reduced figure are determined according to which of the areas A-D the center point O(x0, y0) of the rectangular area is in. Namely, when the center point O(x0, y0) of the rectangular area (specified area) 43 to be enlarged is in the left upper area A in the original image, the partially enlarged figure is also displayed in the left upper area 11 on the screen 41. Further, the whole reduced figure is arranged in a rectangular area 12 in the diagonal direction of the area 11 of the partially enlarged figure. |
