PURPOSE:To provide a developing device in which the density of a developed image can be effectively adjusted without causing the defect of an image, etc., as a developing device using a non-magnetic one-component developer. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a developer carrier 1 which is provided to be opposed to an electrostatic latent image holding body 8 and whose surface is revolved and moved to carry the non-magnetic one-component developer attached on its surface, and a supply roll 2 which is rotated in contact with the carrier 1 and supplies the developer to the surface of the developer carrier. The revolving speed of the carrier 1 is set corresponding to the image density desired by an operator. The rotating speed of the supply roll 2 is set so that the roll 2 may keep nearly fixed circumferential speed ratio to the carrier 1 even when the revolving speed of the carrier 1 is changed. |
