PURPOSE:To permit recording of two color imges by flowing out toners of different colors which are chargeable to different polarities selectively onto a toner carrying body, and charging the same to one polarity then applying voltage of reversed polarity thereto according to image signals. CONSTITUTION:A black toner is charged positive and a magenta toner negative by electrostatic charging by friction and these are stored in a toner hopper 2. A toner selecting doctor 4 divided to 10 pieces of electrodes is provided below this, and if positive and negative voltages are applied on each of the right and left halves, the magenta toner flow out to the left on a donor roller 1 and the black toner to the right. If the voltage corresponding to image signals is applied thereto by means of an electrode 7 applied with positive voltage after charging all these to a negative polarity with a charging control doctor 5 applied with negative voltage, the left half forms a magenta character and the right half a black character. If the positive and negative applied voltages of the doctor 4 are changed, arbitrary parts are turned to magenta or black. Thereby, the two color images are recorded. |
