PURPOSE:To provide an inverter unit for inverting power from a DC power supply into low frequency AC power having rectangular waveform through a high frequency switching circuit in which control characteristics are improved when power supply to a load is controlled through ON time control of switching element. CONSTITUTION:A series circuit of a capacitor C and a resistor R is connected in parallel with at least one switching element, wherein the time constant of the capacitor C and the resistor R is selected such that oscillation current flowing through an inductor L0 is attenuated quickly. Since the current flowing through the inductor L0 is substantially suppressed to zero at an instance when the switching element is turned ON, the peak value of the current I0 flowing through the inductor L0 can be varied linearly through ON time control of the switching element resulting in the improvement of control characteristics. |
