SYNCHRONOUS TERMINAL EQUIPMENT

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide synchronous terminal equipment as the processing system of overhead (hereinafter, OH) information whose use is not stipulated in CCITT recommendation in the OH information of a synchronous terminal network conforming with the CCITT recommendation. CONSTITUTION:The synchronous terminal equipment is provided with a terminating function which is provided with both of a function to send all the OH information to the outside of the equipment together with an address for received data and the function to insert not only a fixed value but also the data from the outside of the equipment for transmitted data and conforms with the CCITT recommendation, and besides, it is constituted so as to insert SOH and POH from the same pin at the time when the above-mentioned synchronous terminal equipment is realized by an integrated circuit, and the transmitted data is inserted from the outside in respect of the OH information assigned as 'spare' or 'national use' in the CCITT recommendation in the OH information of the synchronous terminal network.
