PURPOSE:To provide the photoelectric conversion module that can structure an optical communication system which does not any branch member for branching light and facilitates the setting of the quantity of photodetection. CONSTITUTION:The photoelectric conversion module 3 is arranged at a halfway point of an optical fiber. A laminate of a photoelectric converting thin film 10 and a light-transmissive substrate 9 for thin film fixation that light can pass through is arranged at the bottom part of the can package 7 of the photoelectric conversion module 3. Further, a window material 15 is arranged on the optical axis of the optical fiber 2 and light from the optical fiber 2 reaches the photoelectric converting thin film 10 through the window material 15; and part of the light is converted into an electric signal and the rest is sent out to the optical fiber 2 through the thin film.
