PURPOSE: To easily linearize the exponential waveform of a ramp voltage which is generated by the repetitive charging and discharge of a resistor and a capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A vertical deflection ramp voltage VR is generated by utilizing the charging and discharging actions of a combined circuit of a resistor R8 and a capacitor C1. The voltage VR is supplied to amplifiers 32, 34, and 42 which generate a current IY to a deflection coil Y1. Multiple feedback paths which connect the output voltages VY of the amplifiers 32, 34, and 42 and the voltage sample VS of the current IY to the ramp forming resistor R8 are provided. The polarities of both feedback signals are adjusted so that the terminal voltage of the resistor R8 can become constant and a constant current can flow through the resistor R8. Since the current flowing through the resistor 8 becomes constant, a linear ramp voltage is generated across the terminals of the capacitor C1 and exponential deflection distortion can be eliminated. |
