PURPOSE:To simplify constitution, and to enable miniaturization by forming a coil means by laminating and winding conductor foil and a dielectric film on a core. CONSTITUTION:The coil means 33 has the conductor foil 29-32, and is put between an AC power supply 34 and a rapid start fluorescent discharge lamp FLR. The conductor foil 29-32 are connected as shown in the diagram, and wound on the core through the dielectric film. There is the slight difference of the number of winding in the conductor foil 29, 32, and these conductor foil 29, 32 have inductance, and are wound on the core so as to have subtractive polarity. At starting the discharge lamp FLR, currents depending upon the capacitance of the conductor foil 30, 31 preheat electrodes F1, F2. Voltage higher than the output voltage of the power supply 34 is applied simultaneously between the electrodes F1, F2 through the series resonance of inductance by the difference of the number of winding of the conductor foils 29, 32 and the capacitance of the conductor foils 30, 31, and the discharge lamp FLR is started for operation. |
