PURPOSE:To obtain a panel-shaped plane luminous body capable of radiating relatively uniform visible light with satisfactory visibility without using a diffusion plate, a dot pattern on a reflecting plate, etc., by incorporating a phosphor into the reflecting plate. CONSTITUTION:When a plane luminous body is composed of a reflecting plate 2, a light guide plate 3 disposed on the-top of the plate 2 and a light source 1 disposed at one end of the plate 3, e.g. a fluorescent lamp, a phosphor 4 is incorporated into the reflecting plate 2. Light incident from the light source 1 is reflected by the reflecting plate 2 and diffused by passing through the phosphor 4 in the plate 2. The diffused light enters the light guide plate 3 and reaches the eyes 6 of a user as visible light 5 with satisfactory visibility diffused to relatively uniform luminance. |
