PURPOSE:To perform the editing processing of sentences efficiently, by moving a cursor, which indicates the input position, forward along a preliminarily set frame according as characters are inputted into this frame. CONSTITUTION:The device is operated by character keys and function keys on a keyboard. A cursor CM is placed in the second column of the first line to make the input of characters or the like from the keyboard possible. Characters or the like inputted from the keyboard are inputted in the position, where the cursor CM is displayed on the display device, in the insertion or overwrite mode. The cursor CM advances column by column along the frame according as a character or the like is inputted from the keyboard. A character string whose input is completed is outputted to a printer by depressing a print key. |
