PURPOSE:To make effective use of discharged water in a hydroelectric power station situated in a mountainous region by storing the discharged water in a large volume reservoir, pumping it up into a water storage tank, and letting it go down into a water turbine for secondary hydroelectric power generation through effective head water pressure tube. CONSTITUTION:To construct a tower 2 in a region where discharged water from a hydroelectric power station constructed in a mountainous region, to equip a water reservoir 3 below the tower so that the reservoir surrounds the tower, and to take the discharged water into the reservoir. A water storage tank 4 is installed at the top part of the tower. The water in the reservoir 3 is pumped up to the storage tank through several smaller diameter tubes 5, which are connected to pumps P1, P2. The pumps are controlled so that the water storage tank is always filled with water. The water thus pumped up and stored is let to flow down through large diameter effective head water pressure tubes 9 into water turbines of the secondary hydroelectric power station G which is installed below the tower 2. The water could be further utilized in the tertiary hydroelectric power generation apparatus. |
