PURPOSE:To shape up a grinding stone and repair its grinding surface in a single process by removing a binder agent on the surface of the grinding stone with a cooling liquid after shape up. CONSTITUTION:As for a finishing work for a grinding stone, a disk-shaped grinding stone 1 provides a longitudinal feed of the grinding stone 1 to a shape up tool 2, thereby providing a relative cut to the grinding stone 1 and the shape up tool 2. When the tool 2 moves in the right direction, the cooling liquid 4 injected from a shape up-injection nozzle 3 collides with the periphery surface of the grinding stone 1. As a result, the grinding grain-combining agent of the grinding stone 1 is damaged, thereby producing a condition where the grinding stone 1 is subject to falling off. Therefore, the tool 2 passing through right after the nozzle can shape up the grinding stone 1. Immediately after the tool 2 passes, the high speed and high pressure cooling liquid 4 injected from the shape up injection nozzle 5 collides with the periphery surface of the grinding stone, thereby repairing the grinding surface. With this construction, the shape up and repair of the grinding stone can be performed in a single process. |
