PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device by setting an original on an original reading surface, covering the original by an original cover, operating a device main body by an operation part provided on the original cover and then reading information on the original. CONSTITUTION:The platen cover 12 for covering the original reading surface 11 is attached on the back side of the original reading surface 11 so that it can be freely opened and closed through a hinge 12a. The operation part 13 is provided on the front upper surface of the platen cover 12. As to the operation part 13, a display part 15 and an input part 16 are attached on an operation panel 14, and connectors 17 are inserted into respective connectors so as to be connected with the original on the device main body 10 by a harness 18. The harness 18 is covered with a harness cover 19, and the operation panel 14 other than the display part 15 and the input part 16 is covered with the operation panel cover 20. And the original is set on the original reading surface 11 and the original is covered by the platen cover 12, and then, the information on the original is read by operating the device main body 10 by use of the operation part 13 and the input part 16 provided on the platen cover 12. And also, an automatic paper feeding device provided with a paper feeding tray and a tray for ejected paper can be integrally installed on the platen cover 12 for the original reading device. |
