PASSIVE RECOVERY METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPERATING SYSTEM KERNEL

PURPOSE: To provide a system and method for establishing a passive recovery environment for operating system kernel. CONSTITUTION: Mutual reference between an instruction address range and a recovery routine address is established in the combination of the kernel. Neither the start nor stop of a normal process includes a recovery overhead. If the system gets out of order, a fault instruction address is used and a recovery routine mutual reference table is accessed so as to determine a recovery routine address. Then an error detection process starts a recovery routine process.
