PURPOSE:To enhance the performance of the communication control unit, by securing automatic transmission of the dummy data in case the character to be transmitted next is the specific character such as the transmission control character or the like and at the occurrence time of the underrunning state. CONSTITUTION:When the transmission character is transmitted unitl the transmission timing moment from circuit control part 1 to character buffer CB4 and under the underrunning state, the character is transferred to between character comparator 5 from CB4 to be decided for the coincident between the specified character set previously and the transmitted character. This coincident is then informed to circuit connection control circuit 3. Circuit 3 gives the report to control part 1 at the coincident decision time, and at the same time gives the indication to character generating circuit 6 ordering to transmit one time filler character and two time filler characters in the case of the nontransmission control procedure system and the transmission procedure system respectively. And thus the fixed character sent from circuit 6 is transmitted to the circuit in the bit serial way from character disassembling/assembling circuit 7.
