PURPOSE:To uniformalize temperatures in a plane of a cell so as to improve power generation efficiency, by laminating a cell provided with an anode and a cathode on the both sides of an electrolyte matrix and a plate provided with a fuel gas path and/or an oxidant gas path and by cooling fuel gas between these plates by a cooling plate. CONSTITUTION:A cell 4 provided with an anode 2 and a cathode 3 formed on the both sides of an electrolyte matrix 1 impregnated with phosphoric acid electrolyte is provided with bipolar plates 50, 53 for supplying fuel gas and reaction gas and half plates 51, 52 for supplying fuel gas and reaction air laminated thereon and a cooling plate 6 for cooling the cell 4 is interposed between the plate 51 and the plate 52. A plurality of fuel gas paths 21 for supplying fuel to the anode 2 are provided on the upper sides of the plates 50, 53 and a plurality of reaction air paths 31 for supplying reaction air to the cathode 3 are provided on the lower sides so that these paths cross each other at right angles. This constitution distributes fuel gas uniformly to the paths and uniformizes the temperatures in a plane. |
