PURPOSE:To enable semiconductor lasers to be controlled in light frequency so as to make a light frequency difference between the frequencies of the semiconductor laser and a main laser which serves as a light frequency reference stable through a wide band of a few of THz. CONSTITUTION:The oscillation light frequencies of main and subsidiary semiconductor laser, 21 and 22, are stabilized at the resonant frequency of an optical resonator 26 due to a self-ziehen effect based on light feedback from the optical resonator 26, and as the resonant frequency of the optical resonator 26 is periodical, the light frequency of the secondary laser 2 is made to be coincident with an adjacent resonante frequency or one of resonant frequencies away from each other. |
