PURPOSE:To provide a downsized inexpensive ultrasonic motor in which the rotating state of rotor can be grasped. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic motor comprising a ring rotor 4 freely fitted rotatably on a fixed shaft 2, a first piezoelectric element 18 for imparting vibration axially onto the rotor 4, and a second piezoelectric element for imparting vibration substantially in the tangential direction with the fixed shaft as a center, is further provided with a magnetized part 7 formed integrally on the inside of the rotor 4, and a magnetism detecting section 8 fixed oppositely to the magnetized part 7 on the fixed shaft side and detecting the magnetized part. |
