OPTICAL FIBER DRIVING RELAY

PURPOSE:To make the switching time of a movable optical fiber shorter. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from the tip part of the movable optical fiber is switched so that the light is received at the tip part of one of a couple of fixed optical fibers 1 and 2. A couple of nearly cylindrical sleeves 1a and 2a for heat radiation and projection are adhered to the tip parts of the couple of fixed sleeves 1a and 2a while circumscribed. Further, the couple of sleeves 1a and 2a have flat cut parts 1b and 2b formed outside respectively so that the mutually circumscribed parts become thin. The distance (d) between the centers of the fixed optical fibers 1 and 2 decreases by the size of the cut parts 1b and 2b without greatly decreasing the weight not spoiling the heat radiation and protection strength by the sleeves 1a and 2a much since the cut parts 1b and 2b are formed, and the movement distance of the movable optical fiber decreases to make the switching time short.
