PURPOSE: To provide a primer coated polyester peelable film material which has good adhesiveness to a dry hydrophilic colloidal layer, for example, a gelatin-silver halide emulsion layer or but has a property to peel easily when the material is processed with an aq. liquid, for example, when the material is brought into a contact state with the wet surface of a permanent base. CONSTITUTION: This peelable film material consists essentially of (1) hydroxypropyl cellulose having a mol degree of substitution(DS) with a hydroxypropyl group in a range of 3 to 1 or (2) copoly(vinyl acetate/chrotonic acid) having the weight of vinyl acetate to chrotonic acid in a range of 85/15 to 99/1. The material is coated with a primer coating layer and this primer coating layer is coated with the hydrophilic colloidal layer. The material contains a polyethylene terephthalate film base material acting as the permanent base which is peelable after the material is wetted with the aq. liquid, for example, after the material is wetted by bringing the material into contact with the wet surface of the permanent base. |
