A rolled, waterproof material strip has a multi-layer structure consisting of a plastic foam layer (2,3) covered in a plastic film (4) (pref. polyethylene film), or coated in aluminium foil. One outer side has an adhesive edge strip comprising several recessed grooves (6) filled with adhesive, pref. hot melt adhesive. On the side of the material strip (2,3) away from the adhesive (6) is a protective strip (5) of silicone or similar release material. USE/ADVANTAGE - To prevent water ingress in building construction, e.g. flat roofs. Produces better sealing during laying down of roll.
