A turbine of similar construction as the Pelton wheel of a water turbine is magnetically impelled by either a permanent magnet or an electromagnet. The magnet assembly is provided with an upper and lower beam which function as pole pieces to attract and repel the tooth-shaped elements of the turbine rotor and thus drive a generator via suitable transmission gearing. A regulator is provided for magnetic commutation and the installation is screened to prevent magnetic interference with its surroundings. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides power source which is non-polluting and safe.
