The drive consists of a planetary gearbox (10), a flywheel (30) running on bearings (31) of the gearbox housing (12,15) and a combined laminated plate clutch and brake (22,23,24,25) acting between the flywheel (30) and gearbox input shaft (20). On the output side of the gearbox is an Oldham coupling with the inner plate (35) fastened to the planet wheel carrier (34) and the outer plate (37) fastened to the machine drive shaft (37). When the gearbox housing flange (11) is assembled to the machine housing (2), the inner and outer plates (35,37) of the Oldham coupling are automatically joined by engagement with the intermediate plate (36).
