A pushbutton switch (3) and a potentiometer (4) are installed in a projection (2) from the housing (1) of the appts. under a sheet (5) of plastic or rubber in which no holes are made. The plunger (10) of the switch is depressed by the shaft (9) of a key (7) which makes a short-lived indentation in the sheet for this purpose. A wire (11) associated with the conductive track (12) of the potentiometer is stretched by a spring and rotated by a roller (15) at the end of an arm (14) extending from the control knob (8).
