PURPOSE: To automatically move to a new drawing by generating the drawing under the same conditions as last conditions by using a stored projection format when the drawing is generated by correcting a solid model, and taking over the drawing as it is when there is not change. CONSTITUTION: After a 3D(three-dimensional) model for a body is generated, the representations of plural desired 2D(two-dimensional) layouts are formed by projecting a D model calling a 2D layout process on an observation plane. Then size data are added to the 2D representations and stored together with projection format data. Then the 3D model is corrected so that alterations of the geometric shape of the body are taken in. An automatic relayout process which employs the projection format data is called to generate a corrected figure of the stored 2D representations. The corrected 2D representation automatically includes sizes which are effective even after the geometric shape is changed. Therefore, even when the geometric shape of the 3D model is changed, size data regarding unchanged corrected 2D representation need not be reinputted by hand.
